Thumbs up, thumbs down
Thumbs Up…
… To The Index, for receiving Blue Ribbon honors at NEWSPA, a continued excellence that allows us to boast that we are once again “your award-winning newspaper,” BOOM.
… To the vaccination rollout; a more readily available vaccination for coronavirus has protected people with over 200 million doses being administered.
… To spring weather, replacing the agonizing winter malaise that had plagued Wisconsin for what felt like years.
… To Earth Day; while some may not appreciate the Earth like they should, we only get one so we shouldn’t take it for granted.
… To the Chauvin trial and recent guilty verdicts, for giving hope to a country in need of justice.
Thumbs Down…
…To former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for considering a 2024 presidential run. This is the same man who closed government-operated beaches in a shut down only to be seen on one shortly after, and now he wants to be the commander-in-chief of the United States.
...To Jake Paul beating Ben Askren; I think everybody who was at least somewhat interested in this fight was disappointed by this outcome.
…To antibiotics becoming less effective; stronger antibiotics could become a reality but could also include more serious side effects.
...To the rising COVID cases in India, a country that has experienced the fastest spread in recent history along with a record daily increase in cases.
...To a lack of home football games this year, depriving athletes of home game experiences.
