Club Higlights!
The Critics is a club where members discuss movies and popular things in film like TV shows. When there are longer W hours, they will actually watch a film. So far, they have watched Planes, Trains, and Automobiles; Clue; and Poltergeist.
Connected is a peer mentoring group for students with disabilities and we match them with students who don’t have disabilities. It’s a great way to develop communication skills, social skills, and foster some really great friendships.
The African Heritage Club was created to provide space for West students to explore their African identity and find pride in their origins. This club welcomes ALL students regardless of their identity or origins. We can learn and celebrate the many wonderful African cultures together.
Kpop Club (Korean Pop Music) is a fun club for students with similar interests to build new friendships and learn from each other through Kpop music. In this club we relax, sing, dance and explore all kinds of Kpop music together.
ASL
ASL (American Sign Language) Club - ASL Club is a club available for any student that is interested in learning some of the basics of American Sign Language. Some of the topics included will include the alphabet, basic ASL needed for a simple conversation, other common signs, and Deaf culture education.
Spanish Club is a club where we celebrate Hispanic cultures and their languages. We come together to recognize how different cultures celebrate and try to bring that into our school and community.
The Green Alarm is a student-led club of individuals that share a passion for combating climate change. We work to inform members in the West community and the Oshkosh community of small adjustments they can make to their lives that have a significant impact on reducing their overall contribution to climate change.
It’s not a formal club, it’s just people coming in to play chess against friends. A lot of the same people keep coming back, and we try meeting once a week.
The Multicultural Club teaches about and celebrates the diversity of the school. This club is open to anyone who would like to talk about the cultures that make up our school population. Multicultural Club is a fun place where we make different crafts around the world and students can share their culture, language and clothing with us.
