Board selects finalists for next superintendent
The Oshkosh Area School District recently narrowed its search for the next superintendent down to three finalists as Superintendent Dr. Vickie Cartwright announced in March that she plans to step down from the role effective June 30.
“All three also are longtime Wisconsin superintendents with extensive building experience as principals and teachers who are seeking to lead Oshkosh, the state’s 11th largest school district.”
“Bryan Davis is Superintendent of the Shorewood School District, a post he has held since 2015.”
“Aaron Sadoff is Superintendent of the School District of North Fond du Lac, where he has served since 2009.”
“Cassandra Schug is Superintendent of the Watertown Unified School District, a position she has held since 2011.”
“In April, the District surveyed Oshkosh community members on the skills, values, experience and priorities they wanted in the next superintendent. The School Board and Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) 6 used the 931 survey responses to craft a District/Candidate Profile. The CESA 6 team screened and interviewed the top candidates who matched the desired profile, and presented individuals to the Board for consideration on May 17.”
“A community stakeholder group of 26 district and community representatives, including parents, teachers, staff, business and civic partners, and other groups, viewed presentations from the three finalists in person on May 24 and provided feedback to the Board. The Board planned to interview the three finalists that evening and hopes to finalize the hiring of the next superintendent by late May with a start date effective July 1.”
